Tumling to Kalapokhri
On the day 3 of the Sandakphu tour package, a total distance of 15 Km is ideally to be covered. The first light of the day gives you an unforgettable view of Kanchenjunga peak which looks like the sleeping Buddha. Kalapokhri to Sandakphu
From 2990 meters to 3627 meters the distance is only 5 Km so you should go slow and steady on day 4 of this trek. The trail ascends to Bikheybhanjang which is a small hamlet on the way. The trek on last day is tough indeed as the trail up to Sandakphu is uphill only.
Sandakphu has a homestay, and it would definitely be best day of your life to be at 3627 meters and wake up to clear views of highest mountain in the world Mount Everest which stands clearly and evidently before you, once you are at Sandakphu. In addition, you can have view of Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and other peaks too if you are here on a good day.
This is a level 2 trek which is considered on moderate difficulty. The total distance of 81 Km both ways will take you through lush green meadows, lakes, forests and what not! An excellent opportunity to connect with nature and experience what we all know as life!
